This marks the third such exhibition in a series originally launched by London Bridge Hotel General Manager, Julio Marques in 2019, conceived in partnership with Team London Bridge and Southwark Council. All artworks are available for purchase. About the artist and the work: Gail Seres-Woolfson is a Londoner whose practice explores the rhythms, juxtapositions and multiplicity of the dynamic city around her. Her mixed media paintings have been shortlisted for the Evening Standard Contemporary Art Prize and the Lynn Painter Stainers Prize, and have featured in the Saatchi Screen Project and the Royal Academy of Arts Magazine. ‘Urban Seabed’ takes inspiration from the River Thames and the textures, structures and spaces around it. Through fragments of her photography, combined with drawing and painting, Seres-Woolfson offers a familiar and yet re-imagined and unpredictable view of the urban landscape and a richly layered surface which echoes the history and constant evolution of the city which inspires her.
